Guðb­jörg Glóð, one of the own­ers of Fyl­gi­fiskar, con­tacted me in need of a new design for their web­site. I of course jumped at the chance since it involved me get­ting some of their deli­cious fish dishes as pay­ment Also since we knew each other as kids. We used to play together in our sum­mer­houses, got into all kinds of trou­ble together.

For the design I wanted to keep it very min­i­mal. Rely on the beau­ti­ful pho­tos of their dishes as the main eye candy. And for the most part the site had to be beau­ti­ful, I think we suc­ceeded. I used Lucida Grande for the typog­ra­phy with a splash of Geor­gia for some head­line work. I took great care to get the let­ter­ing right and even added some text-shadow to the css, thank­fully it´s now also sup­ported in Fire­fox 3.5 and most other “good” browsers.
